In addition to bringing exceptional golf to the Southern California area, the Chevron World Challenge also makes an impact on the community through its charitable endeavors. The tournament will work to raise awareness and provide continued support for the programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation.

Below are student spotlights on Sharon and Nick, Southern California students who benefited from the Chevron World Challenge. As students of the Tiger Woods Learning Center in Anaheim, Calif., Sharon and Nick have experienced new classes and explored new careers.

What are three things you like most about the Learning Center?
I like the golfing range here. I also liked the class of Marine Science and Visual Arts.

What classes have you taken at the TWLC?
Marine Science class.

Which class was your favorite and why?
Marine Science, because that was the only class I took.

What career(s) are you interested in and why?
Baseball because it's fun and part of a team. My backup job is being the manager of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

What are some of your hobbies?
Baseball, football, soccer, basketball and sleeping in.
