The TWLC Golf Clinic stressed the importance of golf etiquette.
It's a fun-filled month of golf at the Learning Center this July.
To kick off the month, the July 10 TWLC Golf Clinic taught attendees the fundamentals of the short-game shots of chipping and pitching while stressing the importance of golf etiquette and following the rules of the game.
Two big events are set for the end of the month to allow the students to test their golf skills. The annual Drive, Chip and Putt Competition was held July 24. This fun and competitive event allowed members to test their chipping, putting and driving skills, learn perseverance and practice sportsmanship. The top three finalists in each category were presented with medals, and all students received a goody golf prize.
Lastly, still to come July 31, the TWLC will host a seven-hole pitch-and-putt tournament in which students can apply the skills they learned from the month's golf clinics.
