Available today in the Apple App Store, Tiger Woods: My Swing helps golfers of all skill levels improve their swing through video analysis and instruction from golf great Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods: My Swing integrates with the world's largest active golf community -- Golfshot.com -- where members share and compare scores and receive detailed insight into their performance over time. Shotzoom and the Foundation worked hand-in-hand with Woods to develop this unique app that will also benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation and its mission to provide college access for underserved youth.
"Everything about this app is based on how I practice. I've rebuilt my swing a number of times over the years and use this technology to gauge my development and help with my swing transitions," Woods said. "I'm excited that through this app I can take this technology on the road with me and that golfers around the world can now do the same to improve their game."
The Tiger Woods: My Swing technology allows golfers to capture video of their swing so they can analyze it; compare it with Woods and their friends; and see their swing improve over time. Woods serves as a virtual coach, teaching golfers how to use swing-line analysis and providing tips on specific areas of improvement. The content-rich app also includes exclusive personalized videos shot by Woods which address fan questions.
"We connect people every day through our apps, and we encourage participation in the Shotzoom platform by providing activities for our members that extend their experience beyond the course. Tiger Woods: My Swing is no exception," said Craig Prichard, president of Shotzoom. "Tiger's app will allow players to analyze their swings, compare them with Tiger's and share them with the Golfshot community to help improve their game."
"I'm thrilled that in addition to providing fans with a fun way to analyze their golf game, this app will benefit the college access programs of my foundation," Woods said. "From the funds raised, we can continue to give many more young people a shot at college."
