In order to assist each scholar beyond financial assistance, the Foundation incorporated three steps into the EWS Program. Each "step" strives to ensure the success of our scholars beyond their college education. Below are meaningful ways in which you can support our program.
- Scholarship Funding
- Mentor Program
- Internship Program
Step 1: Scholarship Funding
"My whole life is about being positive. It's about dreaming and then taking steps in your life to achieve those dreams. It is about overcoming obstacles and stereotypes such as bigotry and prejudice. Life is about giving and about sharing and caring for others, standing up and being counted for what you believe in, being a spokesperson and a role model, and being an inspiration."
The EDW Scholarship has been designed to provide financial assistance to candidates who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need and a proven commitment to community service. Scholarships are awarded up to $5,000 per student and are renewable for up to four academic years.

Step 2: Mentor Program
"The premise of this program is simple: no one succeeds alone. Educational research demonstrates the value of one-on-one relationships as a means of helping individuals set goals and achieve them."
The Mentor Program has been designed to provide advocates, career coaches, personal advisors and role models that will help scholars succeed with their chosen degree and develop the skills needed to prepare for their professional career.
